These workshops are taught by Emma Spence and are for all levels of student from complete beginners through to more experienced and advanced students. Students can attend for 1 or 2 taster sessions and then decide if they would like to commit to a 6 week block of sessions or attend on a pay as you go basis. These workshops are run in a supportive, relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which students can enjoy the fulfilment of making creative work while using a variety of practical skills. Workshops cover techniques ranging from handbuilding with slabs and coils, throwing, surface decoration techniques and smoke firing. Emma is a very experience teacher, she has been running workshops like these for the past 6 years and before that has taught in colleges and schools.

2 Day Workshops
Craig will share slab building techniques that he uses as well as a range of surface mark making techniques that can be used to produce rich, painterly surfaces. This will include the use of engobe, slip, texture making, monprinting and stenciling. A playful and experimental approach is encouraged.
10am to 4.30pm on both days
A tasty vegetarian lunch is included.
